Another great item to come from the 1996 National Championship run of the Kentucky Wildcats was this great commemorative bottle from Maker's Mark. The bottle was issued just after the Wildcats claimed their sixth National Championship in 1996.
The label of the bottle was designed to mimic the denim colors of the Kentucky uniforms that they were wearing at the end of the season. The bottle is not technically an official UK licensed product, but there is no doubt what the subject is. The wax is covered by a label with KENTUCKY on one side and 1996 on the other.
This special commemorative bottle was one of the most sought after collectibles in 1996 to celebrate the championship season of the Kentucky Wildcats.

I'VE BEEN A KENTUCKY WILDCAT FAN EVERY SINCE I NEW WHAT BASKETBALL WAS. WHEN THIS BOTTLE CAME OUT IN STORES, I WENT OUT & BOUGHT A BOTTLE FOR MY FATHER & A FEW OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS THAT ARE ALSO HUGE WILDCAT FANS. THEN I WENT BACK TO GET ONE FOR MYSELF. I ENDED UP WITH 5 BOTTLES FOR MYSELF. A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO I HAD A FREIND THAT OFFERED ME $200.00 FOR ONE OF MY BOTTLES, AND I SOLD IT TO HIM. A FEW WEEKS AGO I ASKED HIM IF HE STILL HAD IT & HE TOLD ME HE NEEDED SOME MONEY AND HE SOLD IT FOR $500.00. I TOLD HIM I WAS HAVING A LITTLE MONEY PROBLEM MYSELF, SO IF HE COULD SELL ANOTHER ONE LET ME KNOW. HE TOLD A FEW PEOPLE HE WORKED WITH ABOUT IT, AND I'VE BEEN OFFERED $550.00 TO $800.00 FOR ONE BOTTLE. I STILL HAVENT SOLD ONE, BUT I'M TEMPTED.
